Hello from the sunny village of Bergolo:)
I’m Erik, the new volunteer from Germany 🇩🇪, and I’m so thrilled to be a part of this beautiful team This is my very first volunteering experience through the European Solidarity Corps , and I truly believe there’s no better place to begin than here in Bergolo 🗻 I’m writing this on my second day here, but I’ve already received such a warm welcome from everyone, and I’ve had the chance to admire the stunning nature in and around the village I can’t wait to start this beauti

NEW BERGOLO WEEK 🌿✨
This past week was all about learning, sharing, and blooming—on many levels. From painting permaculture principles to reflecting on "Use and value diversity", our hands have been busy and our minds open. We’ve also been discovering the richness of Egyptian culture thanks to a new volunteer who joined our team—reminding us how much we grow when we connect across backgrounds And as if nature wanted to celebrate with us, a field of radiant sunflowers greeted us on our walk. A si

Ciao from Bergolo! I’m Yasmeen.
I’m a new ESC volunteer from Egypt 🇪🇬, and I’ve just arrived yesterday to begin this beautiful journey in Italy. I came with an open heart , a curious mind , and a strong wish to grow and give back 🌱 Being here in Bergolo already feels special and I felt very welcomed by the volunteers and locals . I’m excited to be part of a community, to work on meaningful projects , and to learn more about myself along the way ✨ I can’t wait to share more of this experience — the chall

Here's the weekly sneak peek into the lives of our Bergolo volunteers!
🌸 As per usual, we take turns taking care of our beloved village by keeping the streets clean and watering the flowers. 🚴 Yet another project takes place here in our village, and some of us are pedaling and working hard to ensure that the project runs smoothly. 🎬 Lately, we highly value our time spent together, as some of us are getting closer and closer to the finish line of their ESC volunteering experience. 💃 The culture in the form of dance and music is brightening up

Joyful week in BERGOLO 🌿😊
Here’s a cleaner version with fewer emojis , keeping it warm and readable 🌿 Last week was full of laughter, new faces, and warm moments for our volunteers 😊 We celebrated Eliza's birthday in the forest — it was magical, with flowers, music, and endless smiles 🌸🎶 To welcome our new volunteer Americo, we gathered for a cozy pasta dinner that turned into a sweet evening of stories and laughter around the table 🍝🤍 In between the celebrations, we also rolled up our sleeves a

My name is Américo and I’m from Porto, Portugal.🍀
I’m excited to be in Bergolo, as this is my first ever volunteering experience! I’m writing this on my second day here, so I’m still adapting but I had a great first impression of the village and the volunteers, who welcomed me warmly. The idea of living in such a quiet, rural place sounded both peaceful and a bit mysterious. It felt like stepping into a slower rhythm of life, far from the noise and rush of cities. I feel ready to embrace the experience with an open mind and

A BUSY WEEK IN BERGOLO💪🌿
The previous week was busy and diverse for our volunteers, with a variety of tasks 💪 💻 Some of us were calmly working in the office and completing organizational tasks, while others worked with drills and hammers at the construction site of the dome. 🍴 Those involved in last week’s project worked in the kitchen, behind a camera lens, or provided logistical support. 🎭 The project “Unseen World” concluded with a grand event in the theater of Bergolo, where participants sha

Ciao! I am Elif from Türkiye 🇹🇷
I am beyond excited to be a volunteer in Bergolo. I have just arrived here, yet it fascinates me with its beauty. Bergolo has a calm, quiet beauty. It’s small, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. Being here just makes everything feel a bit lighter. This experience holds significant value for me, as I am passionate about fostering connections with others, exploring diverse cultures, and participating in meaningful initiatives. I am particularly enthusiastic about the prospect

Learning and sharing in Bergolo✨🌿
For our volunteers, this has been a week of conclusions, learning, and togetherness 💛🤝 🎉 We celebrated the end of the school year together with the students of Istituto Professionale Piera Cillario Ferrero . We are grateful for the time we spent every Monday speaking English and sharing many good moments 🙏📚 🧵 On Friday, one of our volunteers, Eleftheria, facilitated a lovely knowledge-sharing activity where we tried our best to learn how to crochet 🧶✨ After gathering a
