Today we meet Veso
Today we meet Veso, he is 1 of the 3 ESC volunteers that will work in our organization from June till December 2020! "My name is Veselin Marinov, 27 years old filmmaker and photographer from Bulgaria. 3 years ago I found out, kind of by accident, that I have a passion for sharing peoples stories through videomaking and taking photos. And by now I already have a dozen of projects such as music videos, documentaries, interviews, motivational and fiction videos and my newest end

Welcome to our Vitality blog
Welcome to our Vitality blog! Where us, volunteers from the Vitality ESC are sharing with you what we do every week: what we do in the office, our schedule, our tasks, our small trips and our life in Bergolo. Enjoy! Do you want to know what we have been doing this past week in the office? During the training course “Move to Move on”, that happened in September of 2020 in Bergolo, Veso recorded daily all the activities and moments and this past weeks he has been editing all t

A New Chapter Begins! 📖
With the farewell of our most veteran volunteer, Janis, a new chapter in the Vitality experience has begun. In some way, he has been our guide these firsts weeks and he has helped a lot to understand how things work here. He has been like a big brother to us, but also an authentic friend. Someone truly inspiring thanks to his work, his personality and his way of approaching life. That’s why the farewell was an emotional episode in our experience. It was hard to say goodbye. H

Almost a month! and Janis’ farewell… 😪👋🏼
Almost a month of work here in Vitality, and we keep working to revitalize Bergolo and Bormida Valley. This previous week we started with the manual job in Cascina Crocetta, and we have been literally “dealing with tons of shit” to get the job done. And, this is like that. Because we have been using tons of horse manure to fertilize the soil for our beautiful garden. Soon, we will begin with seeding! In addition, we keep making progress with office work. We had to face our fi

A New Dawn Is Rising... 🌄
A new era for Vitality’s project has begun! Two weeks ago, we, the new volunteers -Raúl (Spain), Halyna (Ukraine) and Timothé (France)- met together in the beautiful village of Bergolo. Since then, we have been adapting to our new lifestyle in the remote valley of Alta Langa -with the help of Janis, the most veteran volunteer-, enjoying the peacefulness of Bergolo and discovering the wonders of its landscapes. Nonetheless, we also have been working hard in order to organize t

A New Year is Dawning 🌅
Throughout the last week , a new group of people visited us. New Wellness Education and the rest of the team from Vagamondo fit themselves in our tiny building to meet, laugh, and discuss the following year. 🍀 On the outside of our house, in our village, and within the organization. While we await new volunteers, our team is already foreseeing the year. From various projects, activities, and events, that will take place in Bergolo. And somewhere between the mingling of the

First Sunrise of the Year ☀️
It’s been long holidays and returning home. 🧳 Meanwhile, we were enjoying the bliss of holidays, our house in Bergolo remained empty and a cold place with no people to fill it. A few days, Janis has arrived back from his holidays, turning back the heat (literally), and rekindling the cozy winter feeling that inhabits our house throughout the end of the last year. For now, there is not much to tell. Here is a new beginning for all of us. Lola and Fahed have returned home afte

Before Christmas in Bergolo ✨
Last week we put out the final decoration for Christmas while awaiting the people around the region who came as a part of the Christmas market.🧣 Calm, solitude, and melting snow ventured within Bergolo throughout the last week. While people of this village were preparing themselves for holidays, we gathered around the fire to reconcile the final moments together. Yes, the volunteering experience is ending for Fahed and Lola. And during our last week together, we looked back

The Mission to Asti
In the past week, we did a lot of traveling. Visiting Alps, nearby cities and saw the first hints of winter reflecting in the morning grass. The holidays are coming and along with that, so do the Christmas decorations. Last week we attempted to have our first mission in Asti, which from the outside looked like we were promoting Erasmus+ Jesus. And quickly we faced the language barrier when talking with young people in Italy. And we would be lost without Italian speaking coord
