Vitality Grows and Expands! Meet our first Vitality volunteer hosted in Greece

Originally based in Italy, volunteering project Vitality keeps exploring new venues. This year Association Vagamondo in cooperation with Hopeland - Ελπιδοχώρι launched Vitality volunteering in Greece.

We are glad to introduce the first one to arrive - meet Cassandra!

"Hi! I'm Cassandra :)

I come from Italy and I'm 20 years old.

I will be a volunteer in Hopeland for the next six months and I'm very excited!

I've always been passionate about nature and sustainability. Being outside, doing manual

labour and sharing this with other people brings me joy. So when I found this project I was

very happy!

Since I arrived here I felt at home, at peace and it has been amazing so far.

The first days were very nice. I settled in, learned how this place works and got to know so

many people!

So far I've been more than happy with this experience and I can't wait to see what more it

has to offer! I believe I will learn so many new things here and I will leave as a new person.

These first two weeks have been amazing.

I arrived on the night of Monday the 9th and as soon as I entered Hopeland I had a super

warm welcome from the crew and the other volunteers.

These days we were shown around the place and we got to know how it works. We started

to work in the garden, in the kitchen, feeding animals etc. There are many things to do as a

community! On the weekend we also went hiking and to the sea, visiting nearby towns :)"
